Why AdDVOCATE.....?

When your child has an asthma attack or an epileptic episode for example, the immediate reaction from people around you is empathy and the willingness to accept the child wholeheartedly - which is great, don't get me wrong. However, what happens when your child is bouncing off the walls with energy, or has a tantrum or screaming fit, or is getting bad grades at school and you tell them that your child in fact has ADD / ADHD (Attention Deficit Disorder / Hyperactivity Disorder) - you can see the thought processes happening! "oh nonsense - all the child needs is a smack or needs to be disciplined - we never had to deal with this sort of behaviour when we were younger!" People are still very judgemental and intolerant of children with ADD / ADHD because they are ignorant and do not understand the condition. Therefore, I think it is extremely important that we educate people and therefore advocate for them.
The definition of "advocate" according to the Cambridge Dictionary :
"to publicly support or suggest an idea, development, or way of doing something OR someone who publicly supports something OR a lawyer who defends someone in a law court."
I am hoping to be able to provide the parents with skills not only to deal with their child but with the general public at large.
I will also be advocating for people with addiction issues, whether it be emotional addiction, workaholics, shopaholics, alcoholics, etc. These people are also misunderstood and told to "pull yourself together "! If only it were that easy!
Woman going through a change of life or life cycle can be very misunderstood. I am sure that should a woman put on a bit of extra weight around the tummy, you might hear comments like "why has she let herself go?" Or has difficulty adjusting to an empty nest - "she should find herself a hobby or a job instead of moping around at home all day or spending her life on social media.
I am finding that many of these women are looking at becoming entrepreneurs, working on their own ... many of whom are not sure where to start ... they hear they need a business plan ... they hear they need to market ... they hear they need to network .... and much more!!!! SO WHERE DO THEY START? Contact me 😊
4-Coaching.....?
I am a Martha Beck trained Life Coach and I am a total ADVOCATE for Life Coaching! It is completely different from therapy. It does not deal with past issues (although sometimes these are discussed) but rather deals with the present and future especially by providing one's client with the necessary skills to deal with major challenges in their lives. The client is given full responsibility and is held accountable for reaching the goals that "they" have set.
Against the darkest clouds the rainbow shines most brightly!

Mmmm.... I'm sure you thinking why am I bringing this up? Well, I have to market myself, I need to print business cards, etc.
I felt so strongly about keeping my rainbow colours that I decided to do some research on the symbolism of rainbows.
It really did justify and make me feel validated about my colour choice!
