Have you ever done a google search on Journaling or a Pinterest search for that matter - there's stacks of stuff out there! So I've decided to summarize it for you! And of course, add my own spin because I think it is an extremely useful tool to use!
Many researchers out there are finding that Journaling has a positive impact on our physical well-being. James Pennebaker (psychologist and researcher at the University of Texas) says that regular journaling strengthens immune cells - called T-lymphocytes. And other researchers have discovered that it decreases the symptoms of asthma and rheumatoid arthritis. It also helps hugely with people suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

- it definitely reduces stress,
- it helps with problem solving by using your right-brain's creativity and intuition (and not just the left-brain's analytic side - although both are important.)
- it helps with resolving disagreements with others. Have you ever wished you had thought through issues before just vomiting it out there. This is a good way to role play how to resolve disagreements / conflicts.
- it helps with tracking patterns, trends, improvement and growth for example your exercise regime or your eating patterns or your child's development, or tracking an addiction or bad behavior - what are the triggers, etc.
