Potential Messages of the Rainbow
When you see a Rainbow, I want you to start asking yourself the following questions :-
Let's take a look at the possible meaning of the Rainbow that may help you answer the questions above.
- Could it be telling you that there are new opportunities that you have not yet opened your eyes or heart to because you are so bogged down in day to day life?
- If you are struggling with a problem - maybe this is trying to tell you that there are many different ways to do things and don't shut things out because they seem to way out there. Challenge the current methods and norms - you might cause a few waves but that's ok.
- When going through significant change, it may be symbolising that we are about to cross over a bridge where new opportunities await. This links in with the title of this article - "Against the darkest clouds, the rainbow shines most brightly!"
- Maybe it's trying to remind us of promises that we have made or that others have made to us? How is this affecting our life currently and are we meeting expectations or are others meeting our expectations? Or do we need to take a different view?
- the rainbow or bridge could mean that we need to look at our spirituality - are you feeling the need to link in with a higher power?
Let's take a look at the possible meaning of the Rainbow that may help you answer the questions above.
The Meaning of the Rainbow
I am revamping my website, business cards, etc. and therefore needed to take a look at my logo, my colours, etc. Of course, the more colours you use, the more expensive it becomes! BUT.... I really like my rainbow colours and so I thought I would do some research into the symbolism of rainbows - maybe I will be able to justify my decision!
Firstly, if you are religious, the Rainbow was the sign of a promise / covenant that God made with Noah that he would never allow a flood again.
Secondly, seeing a rainbow could also symbolise :-
* Divinity * Promise * Creation * Initiation * Potential * Provision * Harmony *
* Expansion * Ascension * Spirituality * Connection * Transformation * Hope *
Now some or nearly all of the above words link in so perfectly with what we try and achieve in Life Coaching.

Thirdly, the meaning of the colours of the Rainbow - just with some research I was able to put together the diagram below. We can also link Rainbows to Chakras and Auras - another fascinating study.
Lastly, the shape of the rainbow also has significance. Because the Rainbow is round and arched, it is also said to be a gateway, portal or opening to divinity, hope, etc.
The pot/cauldron of gold is seen to be feminine and therefore a sign of fertility / symbolic of offspring. It is also considered to be a bridge e.g. crossing over one phase of life to another, or crossing over to a higher power. |
How fascinating is that! Remember it is here to give us a message, a unique message depending on the current circumstance in our lives
